Our boho wedding menu templates feature warm desert tones, hand-drawn arches, dried botanical accents, and bohemian motifs in palettes anchored by terracotta, rust, sage, dusty mauve, and cream. Choose from arch-silhouette menus cut to the iconic boho silhouette, terracotta menus in warm earth palettes, celestial menus with sun and moon motifs, dried flower and pampas grass border layouts, or modern bohemian menus with refined typography. Whether your reception is at a Joshua Tree desert venue, a Tulum jungle property, a Sedona red rock estate, a Marfa desert ranch, or any venue with bohemian decor, every template is fully editable in our free browser-based editor and downloads as print-ready PDF, JPEG, and PNG files. Print at home as flat cards on cardstock, or fold them in half for bi-fold menus, or roll them as scrolls tied with twine and a small dried floral sprig for an elevated table-setting effect.

Arch-Silhouette Menus Carry the Boho Aesthetic to the Table

The arch shape carries through every format size in the boho subcategory - ceremony arches, arch-shaped seating charts, arch-silhouette directional signs, and now arch-shaped menu cards at every place setting. Cutting menus to an arch silhouette (rather than the standard rectangular card) reinforces the boho aesthetic at the most personal moment guests experience the wedding stationery - the menu they pick up and read at their seat. Production: print the menu on cardstock and cut to an arch shape with a craft knife or scissors (DIY-friendly, free), or order pre-cut arch-shaped cardstock from a local print shop ($0.50 to $1 per menu). The smaller menu format makes arch-shaped menus the most affordable arch piece in the boho stationery suite - $50 to $100 for a full set of 100 menu cards, compared to $200-$400 for a single arch seating chart. Match the arch color to the ceremony arch and seating chart for visual cohesion across the day - the repeating arch motif from invitation through menu becomes a signature element guests notice.

Casual Course Headers Match the Boho Aesthetic

Many boho weddings use non-traditional course categorization that matches the relaxed bohemian feeling. Instead of formal headers like "Appetizer / Main Course / Dessert," boho menus often use casual phrases like "To Begin" / "To Share" / "To End," or "First" / "Then" / "Finally," or even thematic groupings like "From the Garden" / "From the Earth" / "Something Sweet." The casual phrasing matches the boho aesthetic's preference for warmth over formality. This convention also reflects how boho weddings often serve courses - family-style at long shared tables, where the experience is communal and the meal feels more like a gathering than a sequence of formal courses. The casual headers signal to guests that the dinner is meant to be enjoyed together rather than served in formal courses. Pair the casual course headers with hand-lettered or script typography (rather than formal serif) to reinforce the relaxed feeling.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I order and print my boho wedding menus?

Print your boho wedding menus 1 to 2 weeks before the wedding. The menu depends on the final caterer's confirmed dishes, which typically lock in 3 to 4 weeks before the wedding. Allow extra time if you are using arch-shaped menus that require cutting (an extra few hours of DIY work or 5 to 7 days if outsourced to a print shop) or if you are pairing the menus with dried floral sprigs (sourcing pampas grass, eucalyptus, or wildflower elements takes 3 to 5 days). With our free editor, you can update last-minute menu changes without re-ordering. Plan to set the menus at each place setting 1 to 2 hours before guests arrive at the reception, ideally during the cocktail hour. For destination boho weddings, some couples produce the menus at the destination from a local print shop.

Should I use formal or casual course headers on my boho wedding menu?

Casual course headers match the boho aesthetic better than formal ones. Formal headers like "Appetizer / Main Course / Dessert" feel more aligned with classic and formal weddings. Casual alternatives that work for boho weddings: "To Begin / To Share / To End," "First / Then / Finally," "From the Garden / From the Earth / Something Sweet," or even simply "One / Two / Three." The casual phrasing reinforces the relaxed bohemian feeling and signals to guests that the dinner is meant to be enjoyed communally rather than served in formal sequence. This is particularly fitting for boho weddings that serve dinner family-style at long shared tables. Pair the casual course headers with hand-lettered or script typography rather than formal serif to reinforce the relaxed aesthetic throughout the menu.

What size and format work best for boho wedding menus?

Standard boho menu sizes are 5x7 inches (single flat card per place setting) or 5x7 folded bi-fold (opens to 5x14). The smaller flat card works for menus under 15 lines of content - typical boho 3-course family-style meals. Bi-fold works for more elaborate menus over 15 lines. For boho weddings specifically, consider arch-shaped menu cards (cut from a 5x7 cardstock to an arch silhouette) for maximum aesthetic impact - this is the boho-distinctive option. Some boho couples roll the menu cards into scrolls tied with twine and a small pampas grass sprig at each place setting - particularly effective at intimate seated dinners under 80 guests where the unrolling moment becomes part of the experience. Shared table menus (one larger menu per table rather than per guest) work for very casual boho weddings but reduce the keepsake dimension of individual menus.

Should my boho wedding menu match my invitation and other boho stationery?

Yes - matching is essential for visual cohesion across the full wedding stationery suite. If your wedding invitations featured terracotta arches and dried pampas grass, your menus should ideally use the same arch element (potentially as the actual cut-to-shape silhouette), the same terracotta tones, and the same typography family. For boho weddings especially, the repeating arch motif from invitation through seating chart through menu through directional signs creates one of the strongest visual through-lines in the wedding aesthetic. The menu sitting at each place setting is one of the most personal moments guests experience the wedding stationery - they pick it up, read it, and often keep it as a keepsake. Cohesion with the rest of the suite turns each menu into a small signature design moment rather than just a functional table card.
